Dion Cupido
Cupido is an award-winning, largely self-taught artist who grew up in Mitchells Plain. He creates portraits inspired by street art which grapples with memory in a healing nation and explores identity in the post-traditional landscape. His works are exhibited in collections internationally. He was selected for the Nando's Collection, won the Truworths AMAC Award, was nominated as ArtSouthAfrica's 'Bright Young Thing', and has sold out many solo exhibitions during his career.
