This exhibition celebrates the life and work of the late saxophonist and Mitchell’s Plain resident Basil “Manenberg” Coetzee, whose family were forcibly removed from District Six to Manenberg.

She now hosts art workshops and paints Live Wedding portraits, while still creating pieces from her heart and taking on commissions. Her graced technique is painting in acrylics with a pallete knife, adding emotion and depth to her work.
