Living In Colour Exhibition celebrates our one year Anniversary as an Art Gallery in Mitchell's Plain. Our Living In Colour Exhibition is about celebrating each artist, team member, community members and everyone else who has walked through that gate over the last year. It's to celebrate our diverse culture and heritage that comes from Mitchells Plain.
SethOne
Seth known as Seth One is a Cape Town based artist that is skilled in many disciplines such as design, illustration, photography, graffiti and street art. Mainly a mural artist in the Cape Flats, Seth’s work can be seen all over South Africa. He has been creating art for several years and has quite a reputation for his fantasy pieces of frogs and other animals. Seth often bases his work on the theme of freedom, and he focuses his time on creating beautiful murals that uplift and enhance the challenging and often crude environments that he chooses to work in. The artist plans to progress as far as he can in his form and accomplish as much as he can as an artist. He likes to quote the great Michelangelo, who once said: ”… I am still learning…”
Dion Cupido
Cupido is an award-winning, largely self-taught artist who grew up in Mitchells Plain. He creates portraits inspired by street art which grapples with memory in a healing nation and explores identity in the post-traditional landscape. His works are exhibited in collections internationally. He was selected for the Nando's Collection, won the Truworths AMAC Award, was nominated as ArtSouthAfrica's 'Bright Young Thing', and has sold out many solo exhibitions during his career.
